Registration
Teams can register before the Head Cooks Meeting at 6:00 PM on Friday, May 30.
No meat inspection is required.
Categories
Pork Showdown
Any pork dish is allowed.
Turn in 6 same-size portions (sliders, ribs, cubes, or golf ball-sized shreds).
Wildcard Showdown
Any meat or BBQ-style dish is allowed.
Turn in 6 same-size portions (sliders, ribs, cubes, or golf ball-sized shreds).
Cooking Guidelines
All meats must be smoked using outdoor equipment (charcoal, wood, pellet, or electric).
Please follow basic food safety and sanitation practices when handling, storing, and preparing meat.
Presentation
Turn-in boxes will be provided.
Judging
Judging will be done by neighborhood volunteers.
Judges will score based on:
– Taste (weighted X 2)
– Texture
– Appearance
– Creativity (weighted X 1.5)
Trophies awarded:
Grand Champion
1st Place- Pork
1st Place- Wild Card
Most Creative
If two teams have the same total score:
First tie-breaker = Higher Creativity score
Second = Higher Appearance score
Third = Higher Tenderness score
